Features
- Aerodynamics:
Forces and moments acting on the aircraft simulation are modeled through
a series of aerodynamic lookup tables. A variety of aerodynamic derivative
properties are provided for customizing aircraft flying qualities.
Properties include lift, drag, and side force components and stability
and control derivatives.
- Aircraft Models
A variety of
aircraft types are provided for simulation or as the basis for developing
a custom aircraft configuration. Properties are provided for a range
of aircraft configuration settings including reference areas, lengths,
weights, and inertia.
- Autopilot:
A basic autopilot
is included for altitude and heading hold. Control limits and stick
release properties are provided for autopilot customization.
- Engine Model:
Engine output
is modeled through a series of performance parameters. Properties
include engine efficiency, maximum horsepower, maximum thrust, engine
type, and number of engines.
