Intelligent Mail® barcode (IMB) is a new barcode symbology employed by the USPS® for automatically processing mail pieces. Referred to as OneCode^TM or the 4-State Barcode, IMB first became available in 2006. Today hundreds of mailers are taking advantage of this new invention. This new barcode offers more accurate and detailed information about mailings, plus participation in USPS special services that allow postal discounts, tracking of individual mail pieces, easier addresses correction, and more.

Barcode Pro IMB will be updated in the near future to include Information-Based Indicia (IBI), customized Code 128, Royal Mail Barcode (RM4SCC), and customized Code 93, for letters and flats, parcels, and unit load mail aggregates, and for mailing systems in foreign countries.
