Metrologic's MS700i is one of the industry's most popular fixed projection scanners due to its operator-friendly features and reputation for speed and accuracy. Designed for medium to high volume applications, the compact MS700i (2.5" x 2.5" footprint) is being used in a multitude of retail and non-retail environments with limited installation space. The dense, omnidirectional scan pattern, coupled with Metrologic's unique IR sensor activation system provides operators with fully automatic scanning and minimal orientation of the bar code to the scanner. With a 98% first pass read rate, the MS700i increases productivity and lessens operator fatigue. Its 0"-7" depth of field is ideal for the cluttered retail check-out aisle/counter or the non-retail application requiring a few more inches of scanning capability. Keyboard Wedge Option

The MS700i is available with a keyboard wedge interface, making it easier than ever to implement a bar code scanning system. By connecting the scanner to the keyboard port on their PC-based system, operators are up and running in no time. No additional software or programming is required—it's that simple! Scanner bar code data will appear to the system as if it were entered via the keyboard. As key-entered data has an error rate of one in 300, scanned data has an error rate of only 1 in 3,000,000. Operators who are currently “keying-in” bar code data can increase speed, accuracy and productivity in the workplace.

Hand-Held Option

The MS700i scanner is available with a patented hand-held option. This additional feature is best suited for applications requiring the high-volume throughput capabilities of the MS700i, yet still have a need for a hand-held scanner to scan large, bulky or remote items. Special versions of the MS700i are produced with a second port for connecting Metrologic's popular MS941 hand-held scanner. This option provides the versatility needed in applications requiring both hand-held and projection scanning. The MS700i and MS941 combo unit provides a dual solution in home centers, warehouse clubs, and other applications where there is a wide variation in item size.

Note: The MS700 Series barcode scanners must be bolted to a table, desk, counter, etc. The “Plate Stand” mentioned in the price list below is a metal plate approximately 4"x4" to which the fixed stand may be bolted making the MS700 movable.
