MICR & OCR Fonts Available
- MICR E-13B -- the font used on bank checks in the US and several other countries.
- MICR CMC-7 -- the font used on bank cheques in France, Mexico and most Spanish
speaking countries.
- OCR-A -- a standard character set that is very easy for optical character recognition
systems to read. It is commonly printed at 9 points for mail addressing to increase accuracy.
- OCR-B -- a standard character set that is easier for humans to read but is still
accurately read by computers.
Barcode Fonts Available
- Code 128 -- a high-density alpha-numeric barcode with three character sets. Our Code 128 barcode fonts allow you to print barcodes for Code 128, UCC-128, EAN-128, SSCC-18 and SCC-14 specifications. Below is a Code 128 sample.
- Code 39 -- a self-checking alpha-numeric barcode encoding letters, symbols and numbers. It is sometimes referred to as the 3 of 9 Code. Human readable versions of this font are also provided. Below is a Code 39 sample.
- Code 93 -- similar to Code 39 but requires two check characters.

Documentation and Tools Provided in the Packages
With this package you get several different versions of each type fonts in multiple font
formats. You also get the rights to use the font tools, macros and source code to help you
integrate the fonts into your applications. When you purchase the Complete Barcode, MICR
and OCR font package, each product will be provided in a separate ZIP file. The manual,
specifications and other vital information are provided within the README that is in the
root of each product ZIP file. Refer to this document for information about installing,
formatting and printing your fonts.
Some barcode fonts such as Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 128, UPC and EAN require a checksum
character (also called the check digit) to be calculated and appended to the end of the
data and before the stop character. This character, along with the start and stop
characters, helps the barcode scanner verify that it has read the barcode correctly. To
help users integrate barcode fonts into their applications, we provide several font
automation tools with your purchase. These include MS Office Macros for Word,
Excel and Access, Add-ins for Lotus Notes and
Approach, Visual Basic, ANSI C and JAVA Source Code, ActiveX DLLs, Crystal Reports User
Function Libraries (UFLs) and a check digit calculation application with Visual Basic
source code. The DLLs, macros, UFLs and code provided automatically format the start,
stop and check characters to the barcode fonts.
