MICR & OCR Fonts Available
MICR E-13B is the font used on bank checks in the U.S. and several other countries.
MICR CMC-7 is the font used on bank cheques in France, Mexico and most Spanish-speaking countries.
OCR-A is a standard character set that is very easy for optical character recognition systems to read. It is commonly printed at 9 points for mail addressing to increase accuracy.
OCR-B is a standard character set that is easier for humans to read but is still accurately read by computers.
Security Fonts are used to print secured text, names and currency amounts on highly secure documents.
Barcode Fonts Available
Code 128 Fonts provide a high-density alpha-numeric barcode with three character sets. IDAutomation's Code 128 barcode fonts allow for printing barcodes for Code 128, GS1-128 (formerly known as UCC/EAN-128), SSCC-18 and SCC-14 specifications.
Code 39 is a self-checking alpha-numeric barcode encoding letters, symbols and numbers. It is sometimes referred to as the 3 of 9 Code. Human-readable versions of this font are also provided.
Code 93 is similar to Code 39 but requires two check characters.
Interleaved 2 of 5 - a numeric only barcode used for interleaving pairs of numbers in a high density barcode format.
Code 2 of 5 non-interleaved is a numeric barcode encoding numbers only.
Codabar is a self-checking numeric barcode encoding numbers and four characters with a slightly higher density than Code 39. Human-readable versions of this font are also provided.
Code 11 is a high-density numeric barcode used mostly in labeling telecommunications components.
MSI / Plessey is a barcode designed by the Plessey Company in England and has been used primarily in libraries and retail applications such as grocery store shelves. Human-readable versions of this font are also provided.
PLANET is a barcode used for mail tracking in the USA.
POSTNET is a barcode used for mail addressing and sorting in the USA.
RM4SCC is a barcode used in the UK and several countries for mail addressing and sorting.
UPC/EAN is used to print GTIN, UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8 and EAN-13 bar codes. Below is a sample of the UPC-A implementation frequently used in the retail industry.
USPS Intelligent Mail is a new barcode type used in the USA by the USPS, also formerly known as OneCode. Its primary purpose is to combine the zip code data of Postnet and the tracking of Planet into a single barcode symbol.
Documentation and Tools Provided
Some barcode fonts require a checksum character to be calculated and appended to the end of the data and before the stop character. To enable easy implementation for fonts requiring these calculations, IDAutomation provides several font tools that are free to use with IDAutomation's fonts. The barcode font tools automatically format the start, stop and check characters to the barcode font. The following are a few tools available:

All orders of the Complete MICR, OCR and Barcode font set include the font types listed below for the support of Windows, DOS, Macintosh, AS/400, Unix, Linux and other systems:
TrueType fonts are supplied in PC and Macintosh format. The TrueType TTF fonts are compatible with Macintosh OS X and all versions of Microsoft Windows, including Pocket PC. Macintosh formatted MTT TrueType fonts are compatible with Macintosh System 7.1 and above.
OpenType OTF fonts with PostScript outlines are provided. These are compatible with Windows®, Macintosh OS X and other systems supporting the OpenType format.
PostScript Type 1 fonts are supplied in binary, ASCII and Macintosh versions.
Also included in this package are PCL laserjet soft fonts in 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 points.
