1. Select how you want data collected
The Mode Menu lets you send data to your application programs as keystrokes or by Dynamic Data Exchange. Or log serial data to a disk file in the background.

2. Define the communication parameters for your serial device
The Serial Port Setting dialog box lets you configure your communications settings. Use the RS232 diagnostic tools provided to easily debug serial communication parameters.

3. Define how you want the serial data to be parsed, filtered and translated
The Define Menu lets you configure data to the exact format required by your application. It also lets you pre-define automatic output strings to be sent to a serial device and set up Hot Keys and Hot Key actions.

4. Activate SoftwareWedge and watch your serial data “pop” into your application!
