Bar codes come in several different languages that are referred to as symbologies. In this presentation symbologies are broken into three categories: Linear, 2 Dimensional and Matrix Codes. Each section reviews the individual symbologies and defines typical applications, its features and characteristics, the encoded character sets, and the data encodation structure.
