| BB FlashBack | |
FeaturesBB FlashBack allows users to record the whole, or selected areas of, their computer screen. Once captured these recordings can be replayed, edited, produced and published into a wide range of formats. Unlike most screen recording software, BB FlashBack uses a special capture driver to intelligently detect the changes in your screen. This method of recording minimises the strain on PC resources during recording, produces crystal clear movie quality and delivers a low file size. Recently the BB FlashBack capture driver was granted a Microsoft driver signature for both Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating systems. For ease of use the program is divided into two sections: the recorder and the player. The recorder deals with all aspects of capturing your screen. After recording, movies can be loaded into the FlashBack player and edited by inserting, removing, cutting or pasting footage. Text annotations, sound effects, imported graphics and spoken commentaries are all fully supported. Text can be added into your movie with a variety of different effects, or inside highlighted boxes and callouts. Sound can be recorded from a PC microphone or any other sound input into your computer; either on the fly while capturing your screen, or added later in the FlashBack editor. To polish presentations a range of extra production tools are available. The speed of the movie can be tweaked and changed at selected areas. Mouse cursor movements can be shown, hidden or re-recorded altogether. Your own graphics can also be imported into the movie and positioned and displayed as desired. For navigation through your footage, the FlashBack player allows users the ability to jump to the next selected movie event such as next mouse click or last keypress. Along with this functionality a helpful timeline and preview panel are part of the FlashBack player to allow browsing through the footage. Searching for text inside the movie is also possible. FlashBacks native file format is the FBR file -- high quality and high compression. However when distributing movies, footage can be exported to Flash, AVI, WMV or EXE format. Flash format is very popular for posting movie content on websites, and an HTML template manager is included to help users working with Flash files intended for Web use. AVI and WMV are standard movie formats which can be played in a range of mainstream media players including Windows Media Player; the user can also select from any codec on their computer when using these formats. EXE files created with FlashBack require no playing software present at all on the viewing computer and come with a special mini viewer wrapped inside the file. All BB FlashBack features have been carefully designed into an easy to use interface so that both simple desktop recordings and high end professional demonstrations can be created with ease. To ensure value is delivered BB FlashBack includes options from within the program to email the Blueberry Consultants technical support department where your questions can be quickly answered. A check for updates wizard is also part of the software so that improvements and upgrades published by Blueberry can be automatically downloaded and quickly applied to your copy of the program. BB FlashBack is electronically deliverd.
