Catalog Distribution for Your Assets

Cumulus Browser gives Cumulus users the ability to create and distribute custom catalogs on removable media such as CDs, DVDs or cartridges. It is a royalty-free application that allows any recipient to preview files without the inconvenience of launching multiple applications. Supporting both MacOS and Windows platforms, Browser uses the existing hierarchical category structure of the Cumulus catalogs and offers the same search and access features available to Cumulus users, including custom views, collections and categories.

Browser can be a valuable link in an e-Commerce campaign. In conjunction with another new Cumulus Option, "URL AssetStorage", users can deliver "thumbnail-only" catalogs with a URL asset reference that points to the Provider's URL address (FTP/e-Commerce or Cumulus URL AssetStorage module) where high-resolution previews and/or direct purchasing can be facilitated. This minimizes the amount of work required to produce a promotional CD and provides more timely, measurable sales and marketing results.

User Benefits

  • Cost-efficient Marketing Tool -- distribute your Cumulus catalogs at a fraction of the cost of paper catalogs
  • Ubiquitous Access -- allows customer access to your assets, on MacOS, Windows and with or without the Internet
  • Added Value for Your Customers -- increase your business by making customer access to your assets a snap

Enhanced Security for Your Assets

Targeting the Workgroup or Enterprise environment, Cumulus Vault controls and monitors access to Administrator selected assets. It tracks usage and versions of files and facilitates check-in/check-out for collaborative group efforts. Vault centralizes control of selected assets and guarantees that only one person at a time can work on a file. It reports who possesses files, if unavailable, maintains a complete history of usage and retains previous versions, so users can access past work. It eliminates file misuse and minimizes production costs associated with miscommunication. Vault works in conjunction with Cumulus 5 Workgroup or Enterprise Editions and supports Mac OS, Windows NT, UNIX (Solaris, IRIX, Linux).

User Benefits

  • Secured Assets -- allows to control and monitor access
  • Version Control - streamlines your workflow by tracking usage and versions
  • Centralized Access - eases access for all clients by automatically accumulating assets in a central and managed location

Internet Distribution for Your Assets

Cumulus Web Publisher lets Cumulus users publish catalogs on the Web, giving anyone with a standard Internet browser and your permission, instant access to company images, logos, collateral and other files. It uses standard HTML pages and a robust Common Gateway Interface (CGI) that allows real time access to catalogs. Catalogs published on the Web can be the same catalogs that are accessed from a workstation, so any changes made locally are reflected immediately in the Web catalog. Web Publisher works in conjunction with Cumulus 5 Single User, Workgroup or Enterprise Editions and supports Mac OS, Windows NT, Windows 95/98/Me/2000 , UNIX (Solaris, IRIX, Linux).

With an e-commerce application and a live Internet connection, Web Publisher also can be an integral part of a Web sales strategy. Search and result pages can be customized to reflect site design, facilitate browse, search and download actions, and highlight special sales information.

User Benefits

  • Live Catalogs -- web catalogs are updated live by LAN-based users. Catalogs can be accessed by anyone with an Internet connection and a web browser
  • Custom Output -- use HTML, JavaScript or other standard web scripting languages to provide a custom interface or to support your corporate identity.
  • Easy To Use -- a single mouse-click readies a catalog for web publishing.
