COM Object includes methods to Add, Update, Delete, and Retrieve records from your database. Methods are hierarchically structured so you can (if you choose ) retrieve all of the child records at the same time as you retrieve the parent records, or not. You can retrieve them when you want.

COM Object incorporates event notifications for all important events, like RecordAdded, RecordDeleted, etc.
