Items:
DetailView consists of the various Items. Each Item can be used to display and modify the underlying value in an appropriate way. Users can type in a value with ItemTextBox, choose the value from ItemComboBox, select the date and time in ItemDateTime, select the numeric values with ItemNumeric or they can check the options with ItemCheckBox. Special ItemLink can be used to lead the user input to custom controls or can be used as a button.

Advanced UI:
Each Item can have defined Label positioned above or before the item. You can change the colors and fonts of Items creating fancy detail forms.

Using ItemPageBreak you can split the items to more pages, to avoid scrolling and overcrowding of the detail form. Users can navigate the pages using arrows or tabs like in TabControl.

Easy work with data:
DetailView supports standard data binding that allows connecting the DetailView Items with data from DataTable, DataView, AdvancedList’s Rows or other lists of data. You can then use the control in a standard master control-detail control scenario.

Validation mechanism allows displaying formatted values of items and parsing user input to new values.

XML Templates:
You can save properties of the DetailView and its items to the XML template file. Then you are able to load them in the runtime on the desktop and various mobile devices. This allows your UI to change without recompiling the application.
