Search and index engineering data files, based on content

DGN Ifilter allows MicroStation users to search and index engineering data files, based on content. DGN Ifilter provides a bridge between a Microsoft Indexing Service and MicroStation files. DGN IFilter Workstation is for use with Windows NT or 2k Workstation only.

DGN IFilter extends the following content management platforms:

• Bentley ProjectWise FTR
• Microsoft Internet Information Server
• Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server
• Microsoft Site Server 3.0
• All other products based on top of Microsoft Index Server, including standalone Windows 2000.

DGN IFilter enables the above mentioned platforms to look inside Micro-Station files (of DGN and CEL formats) and index all valuable information so that users can easily search for text within drawings and cell libraries.

DGN IFilter is a robust and very effective component, providing a bridge between a Microsoft Indexing Service and MicroStation files. Current IFilter understands the DGN/CEL file formats, prior to MicroStation V8. When an indexing client needs to index content from ".dgn" and ".cel" documents it will go into these files using DGN IFilter.
