Visual Basic Support

DynaComm Asynchronous is fully compatible with the DynaComm Toolkit for Visual Basic. Programmers can design custom Windows front-ends using Microsoft’s Visual Basic, accessing all of DynaComm’s functionality, including its powerful script facilities, broad range of emulators, network connectors and file transfer protocols.

Network Installation Support

At the heart of the setup program is the file-by-file selective install feature, which lets users install any combination of connectors, emulators and protocols. Through DynaComm Asynchronous’ tailored network installation, a network administrator can customize installation for any or all users. With the autosensing feature, setup will query the system to determine the appropriate serial port and modem setup strings.

TCP/IP Utility Integration

DynaComm Asynchronous provides access to popular TCP/IP utilities such as PING, FTP and SNMP that are shipped with TCP/IP protocol stack offerings from major stack vendors including Novell, NetManage, FTP and others. During installation, DynaComm tries to locate these utilities or prompts the user for their availability. If found, the user has the option of installing them as an icon on the default toolbar, allowing quick and easy access to these utilities.

Graphical Dialog Editor

Capable of customizing the Windows interface, the dialog editor in DynaComm Asynchronous provides a graphical tool for creating special GUI front-ends for host applications. The dialog editor then interprets and creates the script code necessary to duplicate the design.

Script Language

DynaComm Asynchronous includes the only event-driven scripting language in the marketplace. It provides consistent scripting across all emulations and affords users unrivaled application automation and extensive customization of the interface. Additionally, the script language is compiled for faster execution and supports real numbers, floating point math, parameter passing, 192 variables and indirect variable referencing.
