Email Development Suite

The Email Development Suite Includes 2 products to Help You Develop Internet Applications With Ease and Speed

Email Development Suite; VB SendFORM

VB SendFORM

Visual Gateway to SMTP protocol

VB SendFORM is a gateway to SMTP protocol for Visual programmers including Visual Basic, Visual C++ and ASP developers. With VB SendFORM, programmers can send e-mail from any Windows or Internet application to all SMTP compatible mail servers.

What is SMTP?

Short for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, a protocol for sending e-mail messages between servers. Most e-mail systems that send mail over the Internet use SMTP to send messages from one server to another; the messages can then be retrieved with an e-mail client using either POP or IMAP. In addition, SMTP is generally used to send messages from a mail client to a mail server. This is why you need to specify either the POP or IMAP server, and the SMTP server when you configure your e-mail application.

e-mail is the easiest and most used form of communication available on the Internet. The implementation of email within web sites and local applications makes it easier and more convenient for end users to get results from the use of those services or products.

How can I retrieve e-mail?

Although being able to send e-mail from your applications is very useful, you may also want to include the ability to retrieve e-mail as well. For this you need to use POP3 protocol which is available through VB RecMAIL.

Email Development Suite; VB RecMAIL

VB RecMAIL

Visual gateway to POP3 protocol

VB RecMAIL offers POP3 protocol for reliable, easy e-mail programming. If you need to check for, download or manipulate e-mail from your Windows and/or Internet programming, VB RecMAIL is the answer.

With almost a dozen functions, VB RecMAIL give you everything you need to retrieve e-mail using Visual Basic, Visual C++, ActiveX and ASP.

What is POP3?

Short for Post Office Protocol, a protocol used to retrieve e-mail from a mail server. Most e-mail applications (sometimes called an e-mail client) use the POP protocol, although some can use the newer IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol). There are two versions of POP. The first, called POP2, became a standard in the mid-80's and requires SMTP to send messages. The newer version, POP3, can be used with or without SMTP.
