The Application Builder includes two wizards and 40 components from the EZ Access Developer Suite to help you build professional Access applications in record time. Both Access developers and power users will benefit from using this time saving product.

Easily create an application shell by using the Application Builder to pick and choose from several types of interfaces, forms and many other options. Our wizard analyzes your database and will even let you add your own tables, queries, forms, reports, custom text, and graphics. You have access to all source code used in your application. This provides you with the flexibility to customize an interface to a client's specific needs.

Completely Designed in Microsoft Access

Each component of the Application Builder is developed within Microsoft Access using Microsoft Access objects. Many of the interfaces use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). No macros are used. Our table driven technology makes the interfaces easy to manipulate and change, even for novice developers or users with little or no programming experience.

We also include professionally written on-line documentation. The user guide contains chapter for end users and developers. The End User chapters are designed for the end user and provides detailed, easy to understand documentation on how to use each interface.

The Developer chapters are intended for the developer or person integrating the interfaces into an application. It contains more advanced topics on how the interfaces work and steps for integrating the interfaces into your applications.

Product Overview

Below are brief descriptions of each component of the Application Builder.

Application Generator Wizard

The Application Generator Wizard guides you through selecting from the 40 components included with the Application Builder. Pick and choose which components you want to add to your application. Visual samples of each interface help you choose the one you want. Some interfaces even include a drill down to a working sample of the interface. You can even add your own custom text and graphics!

Select A Switchboard

Each wizard screen lets you add different types of components to your application. The Switchboard selector lets you choose from one of eight types of application switchboards.

Clicking on a switchboard will display a functioning sample of the switchboard. This lets you try each one to determine which switchboard best fits your application.

Help is provided on each wizard screen to guide you through the application builder process.

Add Custom Graphics

The Application Generator Wizard gives you the option to add your own custom graphics or text to your application.

Select an image to use as a splash screen, logo or application icon.

Use the browse buttons to quickly locate an image.

Preview images for easy selection in a variety of standard graphic formats.

Add Security and User Help

Add an optional security system to your application. Choose from logon type (operating system or EZ Security), or Access security.

Choose various security options such as an audit log or security warnings.

Even add table-driven help systems for users. Includes a report for printing a professional looking user guide from the help text.

Other wizard screens let you add splash screens, license agreements, About Box information, switchboard titles and subtitles, first screens, tips of the day, error handling functions, problem reports, file management utilities, fully functional search engines, event schedulers, calendars and more.

Menu Editor Wizard

No application is complete without the right menu system. use the Menu Editor Wizard to build an application switchboard or pull down menu system. The wizard walks you through adding your own tables, queries, forms and reports to the switchboard you select. It automatically adds menu layers, images, subforms, security information, control tips and more. Best of all, the wizard can be used to update the menu system at any time!

Our easy-to-use screens let you add, delete, renumber or rename main menu and sub menu items.

Use this wizard to easily define buttons used, set security options, enter control tip text and select button images for each main and sub menu item.

You can even add functionality to each item. Choose to display other menu items or button selectors, display a subform or select from one of several action types. These include: opening tables, queries or forms, running reports, functions or macros.
