FoxFix Repairs Corrupted Databases!

FoxFix 5.2 is a suite of tools developed to aid in the repair and investigation of data corruption in DBF files and their associated file types.

New version 5.2 is the culmination of two years of fresh research and development (on top of almost a decade of prior experience with previous versions of FoxFix ) based on our observations of how, why and when DBF/FPT/CDX files become corrupted. This has enabled us to develop an analysis and repair engine second to none.

FoxFix 5 is divided into the following components:

FoxFix5.exe - Intuitive 32Bit GUI (Graphical User Interface) used to analyse, examine and repair DBF files when severe corruption has occurred. On opening the file it is subjected to the scrutiny of our repair engine then the user has the opportunity to make any modifications required. This tool equips the user with everything needed to explore the file, including; Hex view and editor, Data Record Views (raw and translated), header views, field list editor, index tag view and error log and summary.

FoxFix5.dll - Includes a sub-set of the powerful analysis and fixing engine that is contained within the standalone GUI tool but in a form that can be embedded within your own applications. This innovative library contains our unique stealth fixing technology that seamlessly monitors your tables as they are opened, plus the ability to automatically archive healthy header data for future reference.

FFTools5.exe - A powerful workhorse utility offering features such as CDX-to-DBF conversion (for data extraction), a flexible scripted File Processor that makes short work of file splitting, extending, truncating (even for files larger that 2GB!) and a file joiner.

FoxFix 5.2 is designed and optimized for use with FoxPro 1.x, FoxPro 2.x and Visual FoxPro DBF file formats. It is however capable of fixing standard DBF files used by other xBase dialects.

The DLL may be called from any 32-bit application including Visual FoxPro 5.0 or above, Delphi, Visual Basic and C/C++. Its a compact.
