GraphPad Prism - Concurrent-use Network Licenses
The network version is a concurrent-use license, so you can support more users with fewer licenses. For instance, a six-user network supports six people using Prism at the same time. You many have many more actual users, but you only need to purchase enough licenses to support six people working concurrently. The main advantage is lower cost.

You can order any combination of Windows or Macintosh licenses to make the minimum purchase, but if youre installing on a network, we have a two-user minimum per type of platform. When you want to upgrade your software, you need to upgrade the entire network license at the same time.

If you need to accomodate more than one facility, a network must be purchased for each location.

Another option is to purchase multiple single-user licenses. In this case, you install one license on each computer. Six licenses, for instance, would support six individual users.

The advantage of buying single-user copies is more flexibility. When you purchase a single-user license for a specific person for their sole use, that person is also entitled to install the program on a home computer or a laptop for their own personal use. This is not possible with a network license. If using Prism away from the office is important to you, then single-user licenses may be your best choice. Keep in mind, though, that if several people in a lab are sharing a license, that license may not be used by the individual at home. Perhaps a few users need to use their licenses at home, but the rest are happy to share the network license. Then you could buy a few individual copies and a smaller network license. Your discount is based on the total number of users you are purchasing licenses for. A four-user network plus two individual licenses qualifies you for the 6-10 copy price.

Multiple-copy pricing is only valid at time of purchase. If you buy a five-user of GraphPad Prism, for instance, you would quality for the per copy price of $450.00. If, later, you want to add two additional licenses, you would still qualify for the 2-5 user price, even though you would now have a seven-user network.
