Easy-to-Use Messaging System

GroupWise simplifies communications by providing the Universal Mailbox, a single access point for all types of messages, calendar information, and documents. When you are away from your workstation, you can use a laptop computer, remote client, or Web browser to access your Universal Mailbox.

GroupWise supports Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, Internet Message Access Protocol 4, and Post Office Protocol 3. It includes a Java- and HTML 3.2-enabled version of GroupWise WebAccess that provides Web browser access to your Universal Mailbox. In addition, GroupWise 5.5 includes GroupWise WebPublisher, a document management tool that enables users to publish documents to the Internet and to your intranet.

The GroupWise Administrator is integrated with the 32-bit NetWare Administrator utility, which means that you can easily set up, configure, and maintain your GroupWise messaging system using Novell Directory Services® as your master directory. And GroupWise provides a snap-in utility for ManageWise® that enables you to monitor and manage GroupWise agents, servers, and gateways that support Simple Network Management Protocol.
