ImageLib |
ImageLib has ultra-fast, flexible, and easy-to-implement VCL components. ImageLib gives both the sophisticated and entry-level programmer the ability to add images and multimedia to applications in Windows 3.1, '95 and NT. Remember, it's not possible to program 16-bit applications with an OCX in Delphi! Cool applications are made possible with ImageLib's robust features which include TWAIN support, an ultra-fast zoom tool, flipping of images, rotating text over an image, vertical and horizontal scrolling text messages, and ten image file formats including TIFF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, PCX, BMP, ICO, WMF, CMS, and SCM. RTF has been added to the 32-bit version. By the way, JPEGs are not only super fast, but have been reported as having "the best color reduction available"; so great, in fact, many museums use it to catalog their art. They've also added a "Thumbnail Manager" which gives you the ability to quickly create and preview up to to 25 thumbnails at a time. Just double-click on a thumbnail and it's instantly loaded into your app. Thumbnails can be made from all image formats supported by ImageLib including Windows Metafiles. And it's easy to use, too! A Multimedia BLOB!ImageLib supports Binary Large Object (BLOB) which lets you easily read and write all image formats as well as AVI, MOV, RMI, MID and WAV multimedia files to and from a TBlobField. Yes, you can dislay scrolling text BLOB and vertical credit messages, too. A sample Delphi BLOB project shows you how. You'll even learn to retrieve file/BLOBs info without actually opening the complete file. Now that's magic. And ImageLib boasts the ability to interface with TWAIN compliant devices such as the Snappy Video Capture Device, Video Lab and several digital cameras. There's even preview dialog boxes to allow you to preview video, images, and sound before actually loading them in an app. Full Featured PowerCut, copy, and paste images to and from the Windows clipboard; enable all image formats with 1, 8, 16 and 24-bit dithering; and provide access to deatures like JPEG save quality (0 to 100), JPEG smoothing and JPEG gray scale. This powerful medicine even cures the dreaded Delphi 256-color palette bug! It's even got optional RAD tool bars for image manipulation. You can zoom, resize, stretch with ratio and even flip the image with the click of your mouse. If you're developing for Windows 3.1, 95 or NT, you'll love ImageLib. There's a Video Frame Grabber for even more power and versatility. Choose between museum quality color resolution or automatic color reduction on memory-sensitive machines. Take advantage of TWAIN scanning capabilities. You can superimpose rotating text over images for anyone diong features, highlighting or other presentation materials. Users Love ImageLibChris Frizelle of Delphi Magazine chose ImageLib over the other becuase of its printed documentation, lower cost, and its single, much smaller DLL. Read on to find out what other folks have said about ImageLib: "Surprise! ImageLib...is full of
interesting extras that customers probably don't realize
they're getting. There's no question this library of graphics
and multimedia components is worth its priced based on its
advertised features, but the little things Delphi developers
will discover in using ImageLib make the product even more
difficult to resist. Skyline Tools documents all Pascal
interface calls for those developers who choose to reference
the DLL directly. THis is just one sign of ImageLib's fine
documentation. It not only documents all the unique properties
and procedures for each component, but also includes program
snippetts where necessary..." "As far as we're concerned, every
Delphi Developer should own this great set of
components." Versatility at Your FingertipsWhether you just need a few images from BLOB files or are ready to dig in and develop a Multimedia Masterpiece, ImageLib is ready with example projects to get you started. And if you're really in the mood for specialization, ImageLib comes complete with the source code for all the VCLs! ImageLib Features The ImageLib Combo includes both the 16-bit
and 32-bit versions of the product. theEdge supports 16-bit and
