InstaFox Setup Wizard

Throughout the wizard, the required fields are marked in pink. You must enter something in these fields in order to go to the next step. Some fields have a "?" button next to them. You can click this button for help on that field.

As you can see from the InstaFox Wizard, the The InstaFox Installer includes many features such as optionally displaying a license screen and optionally running a "post-installation" program.

InstaFox makes registry updates easy. In addition to specifying where your main registry entry should go, the next step allows you to make as many registry entries as you want.

One of the main features of the InstaFox Installer is its ability to automatically update the table structures for an existing installation while maintaining the existing data. If the existing data should not be preserved (e.g. for a table containing "lookup codes"), then you can check the "Overwrite" column to tell the installer this.

InstaFox also lets you remove any files in an existing installation that are not needed any more. Here is where you tell the wizard which files to delete:

The last step in the wizard lets you specify what files to install. Files can be installed in the path specified by the user (the default), in the Windows directory, the Windows System directory or to a specific location. When installing .exe files, .dll files, .ocx files, etc. it is suggested that you tell InstaFox not to install an older version over an existing newer copy of the file. Do this by checking the "Ver. Check" box for that item.
