JMail provides Java application developers with seamless Email capabilities from any Java application including applets, servlets and Java Server Pages. Recent features include support for file attachments, embedded HTML and message priorities. Add Email Capabilities Fast and EasyJMail allows developers to quickly integrate full e-mail capabilities into Java based applications. The component allows applications to be e-mail capable with just a few mouse clicks. Support for multiple File attachmentsNeed to send an attachment? JMail can send one or more file attachments with your e-mail message in as little as one line of code. Attachments can be added from a file on the local machine or even from a remote URL via HTTP. Support for embedded HTMLJMail has the ability to embed HTML in e-mail messages. Since most e-mail clients are now capable of rendering HTML, this new feature offers a wide range of possibilities. This feature also allows for the inclusion of entire HTML documents; both static and dynamic. Built in Message PrioritiesFor e-mail clients which support message priorities, JMail allows you to set the priority of any outgoing Email message. This additional feature gives your Email messages higher visibility in your recipients mailbox. Mass Mailing CapabilitiesFor targeted mail campaigns, JMail makes it very easy to send your message to a large number of recipients. Custom Event ListenerJMail also includes an event listener feature which allows status notification of messages sent to an SMTP server. This function allows the user to determine whether their message has been sent successfully. Heavy in Performance yet Lightweight in sizeJMail is only 17K making it great for applications that require a small memory footprint. The small file size also makes it perfect for use in applets where download times are critical. RFC821 and RFC822 compliantJMail is compliant with both RFC821 and RFC822 SMTP servers. This compliance ensures that e-mail will get where it needs to go no matter what type of SMTP server is being used.
