![]() Network Analysis ProductLANdecoder32 noun: 1. a 32-bit protocol analyzer designed for Windows 95™ and Windows NT™ 4.0 containing capabilities to not only perform protocol analysis, but also to monitor traffic, 2. software that can operate on Ethernet (10 Mbps and 100 Mbps) and Token-Ring (4 Mbps and 16 Mbps) networks, 3. technology that provides state-of-the-art on-line help with protocol examples; verb: 1. analyzes custom decodes and over 120 protocols that use either local network attachment or distributed RMON probe technology, 2. provides expert analysis of your network, 3. traps user set exceptions and thresholds; adj: 1. THE VERY BEST! ![]() DecoderLANdecoder32's list of decodes has expanded to include voice-over-IP (H.323) support and a host of its Control Protocols, such as, Q.931 (ISDN interface layer 3), Q.932, and H.235 (media stream packetization and sychronization). This new class of decodes provides capabilities formerly found only in high-end, network analysis suites costing tens of thousands of dollars. These new additions raise the number of supported decodes to well over 140..MonitorThe monitor utility of LANdecoder32 has been enhanced in both functionality and user friendliness. Snapshot reports are now provided for high-level protocols (e.g., FTTP, Telnet, and HTTP) in the source, destination, and conversation windows.Filters/ TriggersThe capture capability has been significantly enhanced with upgrades to the filtering functionality. Events and data types can now be specified as start/stop triggers to expand the filtering usability, allowing more precise data collection. The trigger inputs are supported by full drag/drop capabilities. Additionally, exclusive, along with inclusive filters can now be specified.Top TenThe user interface has been enhanced with the Top-Ten feature. At the click of an icon, LANdecoder32 will display a graphic chart indicating the current top-ten network users based on protocol, source, or destination.Cardbus DriversV3.1 has added support for two new Xircom Cardbus adapters: CBE2-100 and RBE-100Monitoring InterfacesLocal: Collect statistics and frames from the network to which the LANdecoder32 is attached. There are two separate methods to perform local monitoring/analysis: Microsoft’s NDIS drivers and Triticom’s AccuCapture™ Drivers. The NDIS drivers allow you to use the same adapter simultaneously for network monitoring operations while talking with file servers, other workgroup computers, and even remote RMON probes. For maximum performance and high-fidelity error and statistic reporting, we recommend installing a supported adapter which is dedicated to LANdecoder32 using the AccuCapture Driver. Triticom designed its direct-to-the-adapter AccuCapture Drivers with the sole purpose of streamlining and optimizing Ethernet network monitoring and frame capture under Windows 95/NT. Remote: Collect statistics and frames from any industry standard RMON probes attached to the network. LANdecoder32 maintains communications with the RMON probe so that network statistics can be updated and viewed on your computer. Protocol Decodes with "Expert Analysis"Integrating technology from our other award-winning products, LANdecoder32 contains detailed 7-layer OSI, color-coded decodes. Expert analysis is focused on TCP connection, IP addressing, NCP transactions, and IPX addressing problems. A comprehensive list of filters and triggers is available for pre-packet and post-packet capture analysis. These include frame content, station, pattern, protocol, hex, and ASCII filters. Filters can be easily configured using LANdecoder32’s drag and drop support. Sources/Destinations/Conversations windows operate at IP and IPX as well as at the MAC level.Traffic MonitoringLANdecoder32 features sophisticated traffic monitoring functions on top of the excellent protocol decodes. A robust set of reports can be generated at user-specified time intervals and exported and studied in popular spreadsheet applications. Several real-time displays, graphs, and network alarms can be configured. Additionally, remote alarm notification via pager or e-mail is available.Additional Driver Support InformationNDIS is supported by installing a new "protocol" using the standard Windows "network" installation procedures and dialogs. No special configuration or installation steps are required, and no knowledge of adapter hardware settings and resources is needed. AccuCapture Drivers provide benefits over NDIS drivers that are summarized below:
Protocol Decode Extension LibraryA software development kit (SDK) is included which allows you to "add-on" specialized or custom protocol decodes.Detailed On-Line HelpLANdecoder32’s on-line help system sets the standard for state-of-the-art protocol analyzer help systems. Each decoded protocol has available (by simply pressing F1) an explanation of the protocol, an example of the protocol decode, and a detailed explanation of the protocol fields and their allowable values.Designed for Windows 95/98/NTLANdecoder32 was designed for the advanced Windows operating system from Microsoft as its network management platform. The reason for this choice is simple economics. Instead of the high cost management platforms promoted by competitors such as HP and IBM, Windows 9X/NT is readily available and convenient to use. This means managing your network does not require that you first learn a "platform" and then learn to operate your management system or protocol analyzer.World-Class PerformanceComplex networks require flexible tools. A wide variety of network interfacing options are critical for monitoring and management products. LANdecoder32 supports two distinct ways to monitor traffic and protocols on a network segment: remote and local. LANdecoder32 supports multiple local interfaces.System Requirements: Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT Version 4.0, Minimum of 16 MB of RAM, 75 Mhz Pentium, One supported Ethernet adapter or a compatible NIC that supports a promiscuous NDIS driver, including CardBus and WIN 9XPPP adapters, Remote monitoring with RMON probes requires a Windows socket (Winsock) v1.1 installed on the LANdecoder32 PC along with TCP/IP connectivity to the RMON probe(s) Topology Support:10 Mbps Ethernet, 100 Mbps Ethernet, 4 Mbps Token-Ring, 16 Mbps Token-Ring Search HALLoGRAM || Request More Information CALL TOLL FREE 1-866-340-3404 |
