LinkPro’s Year 2000 Compliance Statement

LinkPro, Inc. ("LinkPro") represents that the LinkPro software products listed below ("LinkPro Software") have been tested for Year 2000 Compliance with no problems found. For purposes of this Statement, "Year 2000 Compliant" means that the software accurately processes date/time data from, into, and between the 20th and 21st centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 leap year calculations, to the extent that other software, used in combination with the software, properly exchanges date/time data with it. THE LINKPRO SOFTWARE DOES NOT CORRECT LACK OF YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE BY ANY APPLICATION, HOST OPERATING SYSTEM OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT USED IN COMBINATION WITH THE LINKPRO SOFTWARE

    Additional Year 2000 Compliance Information

LinkPro Products Depend on the Host Operating Systems

LinkPro products depend on the date conversions and calculations, file date/time stamps, and stored date formats provided by the host operating system. For further details of date storage and computations within the Microsoft operating systems, we refer you to their Year 2000 Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/cio/year.asp. Users of other operating systems should contact their respective OS providers.

LinkPro Products Depend on correct Host System Clock settings

PowerSync products perform file synchronization that uses the times and dates (on files) derived from the system clock. It is the responsibility of the licensee of the software to ensure that all systems involved in the synchronization have clocks that are accurate, correct and set to the same and time and date.

LinkPro PowerSync Products automatically check for a valid range of dates

PowerSync products consider any File date before 1/1/1970, or after 1/17/2038 to be beyond a valid range. When PowerSync encounters files outside this date -range it will stop and ask you whether to ignore those files or stop the Synchronization in progress.

Other Applications Used with LinkPro Products

Providers of programs used with LinkPro products are responsible for their product's compliance with Year 2000 guidelines. These applications may store and perform computations with dates that are beyond the control of LinkPro. If they have not taken the Year 2000 issues into account, problems may result. Users should contact their application providers for this compliance information.

    Hardware and Firmware Problems

Some PCs have a problem that causes the date to be reset to 1980 when the year 2000 arrives. It is recommended that the manufacturer of the hardware be contacted to determine if a given model of computer is susceptible to problems after the year 2000, and what should be done about this. LinkPro does not recommend resetting the clocks on production computers for testing of Year 2000 compliance. This should only be attempted on test machines with no valuable data or program present, since setting the date forward can cause loss of data and other problems.
