The The PictureTel LiveDTK is a complete set of software components, used with your favorite Microsoft Windows Development Tools, for integrating PictureTel visual communications into your new or existing applications.

It gives programmers access to major functions for set up and control of video, audio, windowing, LiveShare Plus data conferencing, configuration and network communication.

The LiveDTK runs on any IBM PCs and compatibles running Microsoft Windows 95. In conjunction with PictureTel videoconferencing products, it allows systems integrators, value-added resellers, corporate developers, original equipment manufacturer’s, and independent software vendors to incorporate live interactive visual communications and data conferencing into their specialized solutions.

LiveDTK is the latest toolkit released for PictureTel desktop products. It is a 32-bit Windows 95 application and works in conjunction with PictureTel Windows 95 based desktop systems.

With the addition of Microsoft’s OLE standard and OCX custom controls, programmers no longer have to program to low level standard APIs. OCX’s as an OLE custom control object can display, give commands, and issue events.

LiveDTK consists of multiple OCXs that will support Microsoft Visual Basic V4.0/5.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ V4.0/5.0. These OCXs provide access to all major functions within the PictureTel system software. The OCXs that are included in the LiveDTK are: Call Interface, Audio, Video, LiveShare Plus and Address Book.
