What is NCOA?
NCOA stands for National Change of Address. This is a file that is created and maintained by the United States Postal Service. It contains over 100 million permanent change-of-address records submitted to the Post Office by Individuals, families and businesses. The Postal Service reports the registration of 40 million changes of address annually.

What does NCOA do?
NCOA assures that you have the most current addresses for the people in your mailing list. There are other ways to check your data, but NCOA is one of the easiest.

Why is this important?
You mailings will be affected beginning in January 1997. That is when the United States Postal Service regulations will mandate that all mail that is prepared for automation discounts must have been checked for movers within the last six months.

Reduced Rates on NCOA Service

The price is now only $4.75 per 1000 records processed. The minimum order is $125. At 150,000 records, the price drops to $4.25 per thousand; at 250,000 the rate is $3.75 per thousand; and at 650,000 the price is just $1.75 per thousand. Change of address will be required by the USPS starting January of 1997.
