Split Lists to Save Time

Now you can use MAILER’S+4 to split your list into four basic groups and presort them separately to gain the best possible postal discounts.

When you use the Address Check feature, in MAILER’S+4, your list is coded so that records fall into one of four categories: 9-digit ZIP coded, 5-digit & Carrier Route coded, 5-digit coded, or uncoded records. The Split feature in Address Check enables you to save each of these groups to separate files.

After you have saved the files out, you can then use Presort in MAILER’S+4 to create presorted lists that qualify for the best postal automation rates. 9-digit coded records qualify for the best Automation rates. Carrier Route coded records qualify for Enhanced Carrier Route subclass and the 5-Digit coded records can be mailed at Nonautomation rates. The remaining uncoded records will have to be mailed at the 32 cents rate.
