The detailed features of MistyChartnet are as follows:

• Design-time customization support in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002 and above
• Run-time customization support using extensive popup menus
• The following chart types are available: Line Chart, Curve Line Chart, Area Chart, Curve Area Chart, step Line Chart, Bar Chart, Triangle Chart, 3D Bar Chart, 3D Cylinder Chart, 3D Triangle Chart, Pie Chart (2D and 3D0, Donut Chart (2D and 3D), Bubble Chart, Financial Charts, Radar Chart
• In each category, the standard chart, stacked chart and percent charts are available
• The charts (with a few exceptions) can be rendered vertically or horizontally
• The legend of the chart containing data series identification details can be displayed horizontally at the bottom of the chart or vertically at the right side of the chart. The background color and font of the legend can be customized using a context sensitive popup menu. If required, the legend can be hidden
• Print preview and printing is available
• Charts can be saved into files in a number of formats like .gif, .jpeg, .png
• Chart can be drawn with borders or without borders. If border is drawn, then the thickness of the border and color of the border can be customized
• Clipboard support is available to copy the chart to clip board for pasting into other documents
• Multiple views of a chart are available by swapping category and series data
• Multiple pre-defined color palettes are available for coloring the various chart items. These colors can also be modified at run time using popup menu to further customize the look and feel of the chart
• A chart can have a title and a subtitle, which can be customized by customizing the font, color and alignment
• The chart provides for a horizontal grid and a vertical grid. Both these grids can be customized, by modifying the thickness and color of the lines. If required, the grids can be hidden
• Both X and Y-axes can be customized. The customization includes thickness and color of the lines. Both the axes can be hidden
• The labels and values to be printed along the X and Y-axes can be customized, by modifying font, color and alignment. If required, the label and value can be hidden. It is possible to control the number of grid lines by modifying the step value at which the values along X ad Y-axes will be printed
• The plot area is the area where the chart is drawn. The background of the plot area can be customized using color, hatch brush or image. MistyChartNet can use transparent color, hatch brush or image for drawing the various data points on the chart. Each data series can be customized individually. During run time right click on a data point (where tool tip is shown) to customize the look of the data point
• The value of the data points can be displayed or hidden. If displayed the color and font of the display can be modified
• The data point value can be modified at run time either by entering a value or dragging the data point
• Each category can be zoomed by double clicking on the category to get a better look at the chart. It is useful when there are a large number of series data and chart looks cluttered. To unzoom and get the full chart view double click again
• MistyChartNet provides simple APIs OpenSeries, AddSeries and CloseSeries to add data series to the chart
• APIs are available to get the current value of a data point or programmatically update value of a data point. This allows for displaying dynamic charts
• APIs are available for the getting the current mouse location on the chart as well as to get the data point at the mouse location
• MistyChartNet has support for reading data from Microsoft excel file
• For various types of line charts, the data point marker can be displayed or hidden. If the data marker is displayed, it can be customized by changing its color or displaying an image
