Netlib 2.5 for FoxPro (16 bit)

NetLib 2.5 for FoxPro extends support to NetWare 4, NTServer and Windows 95

NetLib is the comprehensive networking library that gives you control over NetWare and NetBIOS functions from FoxPro DOS and Windows. You get data encryption, extended locking, print management, event processing, transaction tracking, messaging, APIs, Internet Access, and much more.

NetLib is the only FoxPro networking library to support both Windows NT and NetWare. And it's the only one that supports the Microsoft clients as well as the NetWare clients.

Yes, it runs with NetWare

This library gives you what you need to get the most out of your network:

  • Print Control: Set and read print capture options, manage print queues and status reports directly from the print server. Reroute and manage printouts.
  • Seamless Data Encryption: Data files can be encrypted with up to 8 characters of code. This code must be provided to access the files.
  • Event Processing and Trapping: Detect and respond to broadcasts, keyboard idle status and other events without sitting in a loop waiting for them. Automatically logout unattended stations and other event trapping.
  • Bindery Control: Query and update the NetWare bindery, set all user access rights, establish network trustees and assign file ownership.
  • Messaging: Exchange files and messages without burdening the server (support for IPX/SPX messaging).
  • Semaphore Locks: Use semaphore locks to secure MEM files, index key values and other information that requires a signal between stations.
  • Crash-Protection: Commit and roll back transactions in case of a crash (support for Novell's Transaction Tracking System).
  • Internet Access: Access the Internet/Intranet with TCP/IP.
  • Memo Field Compression: Save disk space by compressing memo fields up to 75%.
  • Handle Multiple Instances
  • Disaster Recovery through NetWare's TTS.
  • Customizable APIs

Supported Platforms:

  • NetWare 3.x
  • Banyan
  • NetBIOS
  • Windows NTServer, Windows 95 and WFW
  • NetWare 4.x NDS and VLM services
  • FoxPro 2.0, 2.5 and 2.6 (Windows and DOS)

Here's what the experts say about NetLib:

"I wouldn't create a network application without it, I recommend it to everyone. "
Pat Adams, DB Unlimited

"We have used NetLib in our applications for many years. One of our client-pleasing uses for its event triggers is to log a workstation off the network when someone walks away for too long."
Tina Newton, PhData

"NetLib's dynamic encryption has helped us seamlessly pour our client's sensitive data. Nobody can 'fire up' the FoxPro prompt anymore and peruse their DBF files at will."
Jeri Rosenhaft, Contemporary Data Services

These are just some of the thousands of FoxPro programmers who have used NetLib to make their programs more secure, efficient and user-friendly since 1986! Whether you have a Novell Network, a non-Novell Network, or no network at all, NetLib has something for you!
