2D Chart Types

ComponentOne Chart (formerly Olectra Chart) supports many different 2D chart types, including the following:

Bubble Charts

This chart displays a logical series composed of two physical series.

Line and Area Charts

You can easily draw basic plot and area charts. By customizing ComponentOne's ChartStyles with a plot chart, you can remove the connecting lines to emphasize data values, or remove them to emphasize the relationship between points. You can also customize the line and symbol properties of each series. You can also use ChartStyles to customize the fill properties of each series. You can also stack area and line charts.

Bar Charts

You can create customized vertical or horizontal bar charts. Using ChartStyles, you can customize the fill properties of each series, bar cluster properties, and 3D display properties.

Stacking Bar Charts

You can also use the ChartStyles property when creating stacking bar charts to customize the fill properties of each series, bar cluster properties, and 3D display properties. ComponentOne Chart can display stacking bar charts in either horizontal or vertical orientations.

Pie Charts

You can create highly dynamic and customizable pie charts. Simply use the ChartStyles property to customize the fill properties of each series, bar cluster properties, and 3D display properties. You can also create "exploded" pie charts, or create pie charts with hidden slices. You can even specify the start angle!

Candle Charts

Candle charts are a special type of HiLoOpenClose chart used primarily in financial circles. Unlike many other charting packages, Candle charts are a standard chart type in ComponentOne Chart, and by using the ChartStyles property, you can customize the fill and line properties of each series. Candle charts can be oriented horizontally or vertically.

HiLo Charts

HiLo charts combine two series to form a logical data set. They are typically used in financial applications to show the high and low price for a given stock. The ChartStyles property lets you easily customize the fill and line properties of each series.

HiLoOpenClose Charts

HiLo charts combine two series to form a logical data set. They are typically used in financial applications to show the high and low price for a given stock. The ChartStyles property lets you easily customize the fill and line properties of each series.

Polar Charts

Simply plug in the data and ComponentOne Chart does the computation and display of the theta and r values for you. You can also use the ChartStyles property to customize the line and symbol properties of each series. In addition, you can also specify negative values for the Y axis, and can stack your polar charts.

Radar Charts

ComponentOne Chart makes it easy to build advanced radar and filled-radar charts. Use the ChartStyles property to customize the line and symbol properties of each series. You can also stack radar charts if desired.

Scatter Plots

You can build highly functional scatter plots.

Combination Charts

Charts containing multiple chart types are easy to create with ComponentOne Chart. This shows a Pareto chart combining bar and plot chart elements, but virtually any other combinations of charts can be created.

Gantt Charts

ComponentOne Chart indirectly supports Gantt charts. They can be created using horizontal bar charts (with very thick lines), as the example at the left shows.
