Using a browser, users simply access a URL, eliminating the need to install software and user configurations on individual desktops. When a new version is released, only the central server needs to be updated. PowerTerm WebConnect with Java Client

PowerTerm WebConnect Java client has a three-tier configuration. It enables browser-based host access from any Java-enabled UNIX and LINUX workstation using a Java applet downloaded from the server. The emulation presentation layer is downloaded to the desktop while the powerful PowerTerm emulation engine runs on the server. Once the session is closed, the Java applet is automatically removed from the client desktop.

PowerTerm WebConnect with Java Client provides full security using SSL encryption algorithms from RSA Security, Inc. With PowerTerm WebConnect Java Client, session shadowing and instant, private messaging enables the system administrator to provide immediate assistance to any remote/mobile user on-line and in real-time.

PowerTerm WebConnect ActiveX Client

PowerTerm WebConnect ActiveX deploys a two-tier architecture that provides robust, seamless host connectivity. PowerTerm WebConnect with ActiveX client offers browser-based host access using an ActiveX control that is downloaded from the server. With the ActiveX control, both the emulation presentation layer and the PowerTerm engine are downloaded to the local machine. It requires no client installation and runs on all Windows platforms.
