LFEdit The License File Editing Facility is a Win32 application that allows you to create License Files and generate Trigger Codes. It is licensed to run on one computer in the Standard Edition, while with the Enterprise and Internet Editions, a site license is provided. Automation Client The Internet Edition includes the Automation Client that is used in conjunction with PLUS to automate many of the software licensing tasks performed by a software publisher. It enables your application to directly communicate with your web server to exchange licensing information without the use of an Internet browser. It allows automated software feature purchase and activation, remote license updating and disabling, pay-per-use counter tracking, and much more. This client is included in the Internet Edition of PLUS and requires a SOLO Server or special programming on a properly equipped web server.RegKeyGen RegKeyGen, part of the SOLO Server Components package, is a non-visual 32-bit ActiveX control. This component can generate the necessary Trigger Codes that an application requires to become enabled. An area of your web site can allow an authorized user to retrieve their Trigger Code without human intervention. This area can be password protected or database-enabled to prevent unauthorized access to the Trigger Code engine. RegKeyGen Basic comes with basic Active Server Page sample code that demonstrates how to produce Trigger Codes that can be retrieved from the Automation Client. You may also purchase RegKeyGen Database, a more advanced package containing sample code that demonstrates validating a license in a simple License Database before giving out the activation code. Instant SOLOsm Setup Fee There is no fee for setup. This service is set up to allow vendors with lower end priced software to take advantage of the technology without a huge outlay of cash. We will customize the web site to your look and feel and populate the databases with your pricing, options, descriptions, etc. Web-Based License Files The Internet Edition allows web-based License Files license data that is stored on a database accessible by an Internet web server. With this power, you can maintain ultimate control over your applications. At any moment you can update the License Database with new values such as expiration dates, number of allowed users, module on/off status, etc. knowing that the next time your application updates its data from the web server, the change will propagate automatically. No special client programming is necessary. Simply changing a few parameters in your source code, all of the reading and writing of License File Fields will be on the remote web server. This feature requires special programming on a properly equipped web server or SOLO Server. Do not confuse this with the Automation Client. Although the Automation Client can interact with a web server using the Internet, it does not allow you to maintain a License File remotely. This is an advanced feature for extremely powerful Internet-based licensing. EZ-Key EZ Key is the combination of software and hardware-based security. PLUS integrates seamlessly with Hardware Keys made by Marx Software Security, A subset of the License File Fields can be transparently stored in this key without having to know the keys driver interface. This makes it easy to utilize the power of the keys with little programming. The ability to read and write License File data to Hardware Keys is only available for Enterprise and Internet Editions. LFEdit for Distributors This subset of LFEdit has abilities to limit the number of available trigger codes. This is used when you want to keep control over a distributor unlocking your applications.
