Rich Text Grid Overview

Character Formatting and Text Color: The table editor allows for multiple fonts and point sizes within each table cell. The character styles include bold, underline, italic, superscript, subscript, and strikeout. The text can be painted in multiple foreground and background colors.

Paragraph Formatting Features: Each table cell can contain multiple paragraphs of text. The paragraph controls include left indentation, right indentation, hanging indentation, centering, justification and double spacing.

Tab Support: Left, right, center, and decimal tab positions.

Embedded Picture: The pictures can be embedded within text in the table cells. The picture can be imported from a disk file or from the clipboard. The editor supports the bitmap, device independent bitmap and metafile picture formats.

Cell Spanning: Each table cell can span horizontally and vertically over multiple adjacent cells. The overlapped cells are not visible. This feature allows you to create tables with complex configurations.

Word Wrapping: The text within the table cell is automatically word wrapped.

Cut/Paste: The text within a table cell can be used for clipboard cut/paste operations. The cut/paste to clipboard is performed using these formats:

• Rich Text Format

Protected and Hidden Text: This product allows you to make selected text area protected or hidden.

Application Programming Interface: The APIs allow you to insert or retrieve text and format attributes anywhere in the table editor window. You can also interface to this product using message communication.

In most instances, only a single API function is needed to invoke the table editor.

Input and Output Source: The editor can accept data in a buffer or from a disk file. Likewise, the output can be obtained in a buffer or disk file.

Hyperlink Support: The product allows you to embed hyperlink phrases and hyperlink codes within the text. Your application is notified when the user clicks on a hyperlink phrase.

OLE Support: The table editor allows you to embed and link to the OLE objects. The editor also supports embedding the files using the Drag/Drop method directly from the Windows' File Manager.
