 What is "RTF" ?
RTF is the abreviation for "Rich Text Format". This format was created by
Microsoft® Corporation as a standard for exchanging documents among
Windows® applications. The first versions of the RTF language allowed the
exchange of formatted text only, newer versions (RTF version 1.5) added
the support for images and vector graphics.
How does RTF compare to PDF or HTML?RTF is the format of choice for users and companies that are using Microsoft Word® as their main work environment. It allows them to exchange documents generated by other applications and view them with their favorite word processor. RTF output is more accurate than HTML output and all the document can be contained in one file. This format is however less compact, portable and versatile than the PDF format. RTF viewers or readers are usually not very efficient at opening large RTF files as compared to large PDF files.What is the "Amyuni RTF Converter/Printer Driver"?The RTF Converter/Printer Driver allows you to create an RTF document from virtually any application running under Windows® 3.1, Windows® 95, Windows® 98, Windows NT® 4, Windows 2000® and later. Instead of printing to your standard printer, you will just select our printer. An RTF file will be generated for you which you can view and print using RTF readers. Common tools for viewing, modifying and printing RTF documents are Microsoft Word® or Windows Wordpad.
