SftTree/OCX |
![]() ![]() SftTree/OCX is an ActiveX (OLE control) for Windows. It offers easy to implement multi-line, multi-column, hierarchical data displays. No matter how sophisticated your application, SftTree/OCX will deliver! SftTree/OCX can be used with most popular ActiveX (OLE, OCX) control containers, such as Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C++, Access, Visual FoxPro and many more. It includes 32-bit ActiveX controls to support Windows 95/98 and Windows NT/2000. Columns, ColumnsDisplaying multiple columns of data is a snap with SftTree/OCX. You don't have to worry about text alignment (how about those numbers?). Just tell SftTree/OCX the desired alignment for each column, and move on to more important things. And, your users can even resize the columns so your application doesn't have to worry about the width of the columns. If a user wants to make a column wider, SftTree/OCX will do the work, and your job is done. Multiple Selection?Of course! SftTree/OCX supports single and multiple selection. Cell EditingItem data can be edited under program control, using edit controls and combo boxes. Using SftTree/OCX's built-in methods, your application can control item data editing and SftTree/OCX even notifies your application when data being entered should be validated. An application can easily implement "cell motion" allowing the tree control to function as a simple grid control. Drag & DropIn addition to OLE drag & drop, SftTree/OCX also implements a very easy to use drag & drop interface within one tree control and between tree controls. When dragging items, the tree data is automatically scrolled up or down, depending on the direction the data is dragged. But if the user wants to drop the data outside of the tree control, that is possible too, and the automatic scrolling will stop. Drag-scrolling is completely automatic, so your application doesn't have to worry about this at all. All you have to do is process the data, once the user drops it. PropertiesWith the design-time interface, a prototype can be programmed in minutes. All properties are available under Windows 95/98, Windows NT and Windows 2000 so you can easily move your applications between all supported plat-forms. PicturesDisplay your data using SftTree/OCX and enhance the look of your application by adding graphics (bitmaps) to column headers, row headers and cells. For example, you can add indicators to the column headers to show if data in a column is sorted ascending or descending. Our BookTable sample in the SftTree/OCX demo does just that. Or add graphics and colors to cells to highlight your important data. Easy to UseSftTree/OCX is easy to use. In addition to its on-line help, it also includes a comprehensive user manual (about 260 pages, with complete reference). And, SftTree/OCX is also backed by our technical support by phone, FAX or email. DetailsThe developer version of SftTree/OCX requires about 8MB of disk space, 580KB for the ActiveX control only (plus OLE and MFC run-time libraries which may be common to your application and to other OLE controls). Of course, SftTree/OCX can be redistributed royalty-free with your application. SftTree/OCX is an ActiveX (OLE, OCX) control for the Windows operating system. Some of SftTree/OCX's features include the following:
