With Sound & Vision, it's easy to
create programs that have the look and feel of Microsoft Windows.
True Clipper Windows will automatically be sizable and moveable
with scrollbars and maximize/ minimize buttons. The windowing
system supports System Icons, Pushbuttons, Spinners, Radiobuttons,
Checkboxes and Listboxes. You can even frame gets, outlines and
scrollboxes to give them a 3D effect. SAA/CUA style pulldown/popup
menus are included, accessible with the mouse, hotkeys, cursor or
short cut keys.
Play audio-CDs, .VOC and
.WAV Files. You can have Sound play in
the foreground or background, record from microphones, audio-CD or
any other stereo or mono input. A full CD-Player program is included,
complete with buttons to skip tracks, pause and control volume. To
help you learn how to write MultiMedia code, we included full source
code for the CD-Player.
Have instant Mouse Support.
Complete mouse support is provided with a graphical mouse cursor -- even
in text mode. The cursor can be set to an hourglass while system
processes are taking place.
Create Object Oriented
Applications. At the heart of Sound & Vision is a powerful object
engine. Using this engine, you can create your own classes, inherit
from existing classes and define new methods. Source code is provided
for all of the classes including: WindowClass, MenuClass, enhanced
GetClass, ButtonClass, ScrollbarClass, ListClass and IniClass.
Plus: There are dozens of
other features including a complete EventSystem, full .INI file handling,
Screensaver functions, showing .PCX Files, VGA color palette changing,
alertboxes, Font handling, Bit twiddling and CRC Checksum support.
Sound & Vision was written 90%
in assembler. It's very small, and blindingly fast! Sound & Vision is
Protected Mode compatible. That means that it will work with all your
favorite linkers!
With SVPro, you get a complete
Windows-like Messaging Event System with new Standard non modal Controls
like Edit Control, Pushbutton, Listbox, Comboboxe, Spinner Control, Checkbox,
Radiobutton etc. Complete Source Code for all Classes is included, so that
you can easily change existing or create new Controls.
