The flexible and versatile solution for your serial data and protocol analysis!
The continuous graphic user interface for DOS and Windows (3.x/95/98/Me) guarantees an easy
operation. SuperMonitor is very quickly attached to a serial data transmission and is a silent but
watchful observer of the operation.
SuperMonitor is able to execute not only simple short
measurements but also long day and night runs.

You are now able to considerably reduce your development time and costs when setting up or
monitoring a serial link by using SuperMonitor.

Using SuperMonitor you'll get a clear picture on what is
going on on the physical line -- where it matters.
In summary, hints
Windows NT/2000
We don't support Windows NT/2000 because it's not possible to catch data
and all events in real time on these systems (some
events will be missed), apply exact time stamps or monitor the
flow control (RTS/CTS, DTR/DSR).
Spying the COMM API
We don't spy the COMM API because it's not possible to catch data in real time
(in many cases you'll get some events in wrong
order), apply exact time stamps or monitor the flow control. The productivity
of this method can be compared with code reading.
Summary
SuperMonitor captures the data and events on the physical serial connection
in real time thus avoiding any logical errors which
may arise through spying the COMM API or capturing the non real time events
in Windows NT/2000. It's the only way to catch
all data and events in the order they appear on the line and apply exact
time stamps. It's the only way to monitor all changes in the
flow control even with today UARTS like the 16650 or better with on
board flow control (RTS/CTS, DTR/DSR, XON/XOFF
!). Using SuperMonitor you'll get a clear picture on what is
going on on the physical line -- where it matters.
SuperMonitor MUST NOT run on the same PC as the
communication software. In fact installing SuperMonitor on a separate PC or
Notebook makes it a flexible and versatile monitoring tool.
