The FarPoint Tab Pro package contains only two controls. Tab and Imprint. Don't be deceived into asking “is that all?” because these two are deep! Simply add two or three files to your project and you're ready to roll! Draw a tab control on a form and you've got access to a staggering number of properties, events and functions to implement any idea you can imagine.

A tab may contain any kind of control in what is known as its Client Area. The tab control can be bound to a data control and thereby becomes an effective way to display database records. Tab header text can contain key values and pictures. You can set the number of tabs across and the number of rows deep and switch between a horizontal or vertical orientation. Tabs let you eliminate confusing menu structures.

It's the little things that count, and FarPoint Tab Pro has a lot of cool little things. You can enable an earmark effect and the display scrolls to the next set of tabs. It's a great effect and an excellent use of valuable system resources.

You can switch from an index tab metaphor to a single page rolodex or a notebook-style display by simply changing a mode property at design time. Or use any of the Predesigned AutoStyles.

The Imprint control lets you turn up your creativity several notches. Think of it as a souped-up 3-D text/group box. You can draw an Imprint control on a Tab and then customize it for a variety of effects. Add 3-D frames, borders, colors or lines by setting a few properties. The Imprint can be bound to an Access database for breathtaking results.

FarPoint Tab Pro includes a VBX, a 32-bit OLE control, and a 16- and 32-bit DLL.
