TNVFP 5301 - Developing Client/Server Applications with Visual FoxPro

This is the final course of both the Advanced and Deluxe Packages.

Course Overview

This two-day course teaches experienced Visual FoxPro developers how to create client/server applications in Visual FoxPro. Students will learn how to use the Upsizing Wizard and the back-end security and data validation features of Microsoft SQL Server for Windows NT. The student will learn how to access back-end databases via ODBC. Both techniques for accessing remote data, Remote Views and SQL Pass Through, will be covered. Client/Server performance optimization techniques will be discussed throughout the course, such as, the advantages of using a combination of local and remote data sources. Upon completion of the course, the student will keep the course materials and will receive a diskette containing all the course examples and exercises.
