ready-to-run code. Every major area of software
development is covered, from ADO to XML, with 85,000+
lines of code, 150+ modules and 40+ categories!
Manage Your Own Code
Tired of digging for code you know you've already
written? Use the Total Visual SourceBook Repository
to store, index, and manage all your code in a shared
environment. Track author, creation and modification
dates, comments, examples and more.
Source Code Exchange
Source Code Exchange (SCE) technology is for sharing code when you aren't connected
to your network. Take any code from SourceBook and
package it into an SCE file -- code, comments, and author
information are automatically included. Then email your
SCE file or put it on your website. Other SourceBook
users can import SCE files and handle new and modified
code with ease.
Direct Integration with the Integrated Development
Environment (IDE)
Total Visual SourceBook is completely integrated
with the Visual Basic IDE available in Visual Basic 6 and
Access 2000/2002. Start it as an add-in and its always ready to
get you to the code you need!
Save Time -- Guaranteed!
Total Visual SourceBook will cut weeks of your
development cycle as it gives you the source code you
need.
Supports Access 2000/2002 and Visual Basic 6 -- all in one product
FMS merged Total Access SourceBook and Total VB SourceBook products into
one, and added full support for Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook,
FrontPage and PowerPoint. Now you have one central source for VBA source code
regardless of which development platform you use.
Lots of new code: over 150 modules and classes
Total Visual SourceBook contains over 85,000 lines of code. With new
coverage for ADO, SQL Server, Access 2000, Outlook, Excel and VBA, you'll find
what you are looking for.
Snippet modules make it easy to store
code fragments, ideas, and unfinished code
As a developer, you may find yourself ending up with code that you want to keep,
but the code may not be in the form of ready-to-run modules, classes, or
procedures. Perhaps you have a code snippet that you found on the web, or in a
book or magazine. Total Visual SourceBook now supports "Snippet" modules
that make it easy to store this type of code. A Snippet module is the same as any
other module in SourceBook except that it appears in the treeview with an pair of
scissors as its icon. This helps you easily tell which code is in Snippet form.
Additionally, there are typically no examples associated with Snippets, although you
can enter example and notes information if you wish. Total Visual SourceBook
includes many new Snippet modules that show you how to accomplish specific
programming tasks. Although all of our Snippets are complete functions, there is no
reason you cannot store any piece of code or information in a
Snippet module.
Import from other code libraries
Total Visual SourceBook supports importing from other code
libraries, such as:
- Microsoft Office Developers Edition Code Librarian
- Total VB SourceBook 5/6
- Total Access SourceBook 8
- Total Access SourceBook 2
Additionally, you can always import code from your VBA
project or any text file.
Color-coding of your code
Total Visual SourceBook color-codes your code as you type it in, or as you
import it from you project. You can also call our integrated editor to make editing
code from Total Visual SourceBook easy and quick.
Hierarchy makes it easy to organize code
Hierarchy makes it easy to organize code by topic, category, module, and
class.
Total Visual SourceBook provides a solution to your coding problems for
Visual Basic 6.0, Access/Office 2000, and Access 2002/Office XP.
