Image HandlingVictor Image Processing Library contains the functions you need to create image applications using all the popular formats:
File HandlingVictor gives you functions to read and write bilevel, grayscale, and color images in BMP, DIB, EPS, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF and raw data file formats.Image ProcessingVictor offers image processing functions like brightness, contrast, sharpening filters, outlines, matrix convolution, equalization, resize, overlay, flip, mirror, rotate, plus math and logic operations that can operate on any area of an image.Special EffectsVictor allows you to create special effects such as: adding drop shadows to text and images, artificial snow, metallic surfaces, resizing an image, cropping images, embossing, watercolor painting and pointillistic painting textures.
Color ReductionThese functions can convert 24-bit RGB images into 256 or fewer colors. These functions can compute the optimum palette, use a standard palette, or match an existing palette for multiple image display.Working with Large ImagesVictor for Dos and Victor for 16-bit Windows can handle 8- and 24-bit images up to 4048 x 32768 pixels, 1-bit up to 32384 x 32768. Victor for Dos has complete support for working with images in conventional, expanded, extended, or virtual memory without need for Dos extenders. Victor for 32-bit Windows can handle images up to 32768 x 32768 pixels. Victor for Windows operates by having images held in global memory as Device Independent Bitmaps (DIBs). Victor images are always accessible to the programmer for processing with your own custom functions. PrintingVictor for Windows can print bilevel, grayscale, and color images at any size on all Windows-supported printers. Victor for Dos includes the ability to print images on HP LaserJet (up to 1200 dpi), Epson 24-pin, Canon BJC-600 and HP DeskJet color printers.Scanner SupportVictor gives you device control for scanning with an HP ScanJet scanner. Scan bilevel, grayscale, and color images directly into memory with complete control of resolution, image size, and automatic document feeder.Twain support available (Requires Victor version 4.xx for Windows or higher). Optional support is available for several video framegrabbers. Video Digitizer Support. Image DisplayVictor for Dos supports EGA, VGA, and super VGA display adapters for displaying partial, single, or multiple images at resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 in 2, 16, 256, 32K, 64K, or 16 million colors.
