 The WinLib Wizard lets you easily create sophisticated event driven user interfaces for your FoxPro applications. It works as a code generator front-end for the WinLib/Pro event management library. Developers around the world have praised WinLib/Pro for its power, speed, and flexibility, with only one complaint: It was difficult to use. Well, that's no longer a problem. With the WinLib Wizard, just about any programmer can create robust “modeless” applications - with features like multiple instances, unfolding windows, multi-page windows, optional windows, and more. A modeless interface is what you and your users are used to seeing in Windows and on the Macintosh. Each window, or group of windows, operates in its own little world, independent from other open windows. There are no “modes” - you can switch from one window to another at will. For example, what if an order entry operator needs to check inventory while part-way through entering an order? In a modeless system it's easy. Just open an inventory window any time, check stock, then return to order entry right where you left off. If you like, leave the inventory window open in the background to display stock levels for each item as it is entered in the foreground order entry window. Can you do that in FoxPro? With WinLib/Pro it's no problem.

| The WinLib Wizard lets you create fully functional prototypes with no manual coding required. Simply create your screen layouts in the FoxPro screen builder, run the Wizard to specify the features you want, and rebuild your application.
Rapid Application Development |
| Once you are satisfied with your screen layouts, you can add field and form level validation routines, and any other logic specific to your application. In many cases, the validation routines are the only manual coding required. The Wizard generates all the window and event management code for you, leaving you free to concentrate on the high level logic specific to your application. This approach gives you complete control over the design and appearance of your generated applications, while relieving you of the tedious and error-prone work of writing low level window and event management code.
True Modeless Environment |
| The WinLib/Pro library extends the FoxPro event model to make true modeless applications possible. Each form (or screen set) runs in its own private context. You can have any number of modeless screen sets open at the same time, and switch between them at will. Each form remembers its state as it is deactivated and reactivated.
International Support |
| The WinLib Wizard can create applications in any language or dialect. All prompts and messages can be easily modified to suit your own needs and preferences. English and Spanish translations of generated messages are included with the Wizard, and you can easily add translations for any other language. The Wizard can also be used together with Seven Black's INTL toolkit to create multi-lingual applications from a single set of source screens.
