With WinLib Wizard, you can add these features to your applications...
Browse Objects |
| WinLib's Browse objects let you add Browse functionality to any READ windows. Browse Objects provide the perfect solution for one-to-many data entry screens, line invoices or order entry.
Multi-Page Windows |
| Multi Page windows allow you to keep many pages worth of information organized and readily accessible to your users, all in a single window. The Wizard generates all code for Index Tab style pages or Push Button style. You can also manually code your own custom page changing mechanisms if you like.
Multi-Instance Forms |
| You can have multiple copies, or instances, of each form open at the same time. Each instance operates independently from the others in its own private context. Multiple instances make it easy for your users to compare records, or cut and paste fields between records. You can also design general purpose forms - like a generic address editor, for example, where each instance could operate on a different table. The Wizard generates all code needed to manage multiple instances, including form level record locking (so two instances can't edit the same record).
Unfolding Windows |
| Unfolding, or Expanding windows let you design complex forms that use a minimum amount of screen space. Frequently used fields can be placed in a common area of a window, where they are always accessible. Less frequently used fields can be placed to appear only when the window is expanded by pressing a More button. The Wizard supports this with no manual coding required.
Automatic Network Support |
| All forms generated by the Wizard include full multi-user support for use on a network. By default, records are locked on the first keystroke that modifies any data in the form. You can also implement a distinct edit mode for each form if you prefer.
Active Background Windows |
| WinLib allows you to keep @GETs active for all open forms, even when the window is inactive. Keeping the @GETs active lets you update the display of inactive windows, and also makes switching from window to window much faster because the windows don't need to redraw each time.
Control Over FoxPro System
Windows |
| You can write programs to customize FoxPro Browse and system windows. This enables you to define window level activate, deactivate, and close handlers for Browse and other system windows - just like READ windows.
Inter-Form Communication |
| You can create sophisticated smart applications, where individual forms can tell each other what to do. For example, an order entry form can launch an inventory form to display inventory information in a background window as you enter the order in the foreground.
Instant Feedback |
|
WinLib lets you respond instantly to field data changes, so you can lock records and enable/disable controls (like Save/Undo) without having to wait for a delimiter character to be pressed. The instant feedback makes your applications friendlier and easier to learn. Everything you need to automate the creation of sophisticated event driven FoxPro applications. Includes the WinLib Wizard, the WinLib/Pro 2.0 library, the latest version of GENSCRNX, documentation, and complete FoxPro source code. C source code is available separately.
