A Year 2000 Compliant product from Microsoft will not produce errors processing date data in connection with the year change from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 when used with accurate date data in accordance with its documentation and the recommendations and exceptions set forth in the Microsoft Year 2000 Product Guide, provided all other products (e.g., other software, firmware and hardware) used with it properly exchange date data with the Microsoft product. A Year 2000 Compliant product from Microsoft will recognize the Year 2000 as a leap year. Disclaimer: The Statement of Compliance refers to the Microsoft product as delivered by Microsoft. The Compliance Statement does not apply to user customizable features or third party add-on features or products, including items such as macros and custom programming and formatting features. The Microsoft Statement of Compliance does not constitute a warranty or extend the terms of any existing warranty. Thank you for your inquiry about INPRISE's products and the Year 2000. Due to the vast number of inquiries that we receive in connection with this important issue, INPRISE regrets to inform you that we do not respond to individual questionnaires. Fortunately, INPRISE anticipated the Year 2000 problem some time ago, and most of INPRISE's current products will operate without loss of functionality from the Year 1999 to the Year 2000. INPRISE has product-specific Year 2000 compliance information. INPRISE does not, however, provide contractual warranties specific to the Year 2000 readiness. Warranties of INPRISE's products are set forth in the end user license agreements that accompany our products and we recommend that you read these warranties in order to fully understand your rights. Any information provided by INPRISE regarding Year 2000 issues does not constitute an extension of any INPRISE warranty. Further, please note that INPRISE products are software development products. INPRISE has no control over the ultimate quality or accuracy of products developed using INPRISE tools. Therefore, INPRISE provides no warranty whatsoever in connection with Year 2000 compliance of any software, application, operating system or hardware developed by third parties utilizing INPRISE products. Should more detailed release information be required, or you would like to discuss the specific products with a Computer Associates representative, please direct your Year 2000 compliance questions to your local Client Services Representative (CSR). Additionally you may utilize our online system, CA-TCC (Total Client Care), to search for specific product information relevant to your site. Year 2000 Ready Definition Computer Associates' basic support for the millennium date change (Year 2000) provides or will provide for proper operation of our products according to their published documentation. In most cases, this means simply assuring that dates are evaluated and processed properly for sequence and comparison. Testing and Quality Assurance processes are carried out to validate the operation of these products as related to the millennium date change, and any functional errors will be accepted as issues (bugs) and resolved according to our standard maintenance and support policies. As long as a user's license for each respective CA program remains in effect and active on maintenance, the user will be entitled to all of the benefits of CA's implementation of Year 2000 date support as described above. Of course, nothing herein should be deemed to modify in any way any of the terms or conditions of any existing license between us respecting any CA program.
