Bar Code Support

Support for the Symbol Technologies Symbol SPT-1500 and SPT-1700 series laser scanning solution and the Symbol CRM 150 Springboard module and PSC Momentum Springboard module for Handspring Visor. Support for external bar coding equipment from DynaSys Technologies (Co-Pilot).

Scripting support allows bar codes to be processed before they are placed into data fields. The bar code symbology is also available via scripting variables.

IR Printing

Pendragon Forms supports serial printing directly through the serial port, and Infrared printing via the Palm Print from Stevens Creek Software, and Bachmann Print Manager from Bachmann Software and Services (both products purchased separately). These third party print managers are the equivalent of printer managers in desktop operating systems, and are highly recommended if you are using a serial printer. Serial Printing

Pendragon Forms directly prints on serial printers via a menu command or via scripting commands. As stated above, the third-party printer managers are highly recommended.

If you are printing via PalmPrint, you will need to use either the TRAMSMIT PRINTER script statement or the PRINTREPORT statement to create output for the printer.

The printing capability is deal for Pendragon Forms applications that need to print out data for backup purposes. Pendragon Forms prints data records in a simple questions-answer format.

Via the PRINTREPORT statement and the REPORT: events, developers can script their own formatted output with fixed pitch fonts.
